7.3.2. Amazon Translate API Options

Important

Amazon Translate API is a paid service whose pricing details can be seen here. Currently, the API is free for 2 million characters per month, for the first 12 months. You can see the details for Free Tier in the pricing page.

The following video tutorial explains how to retrieve Access Key and Secret, which are required for the translation to work, from AWS Management Console.

7.3.2.5. Access Key

Access key ID that is retrieved from AWS Management Console page. This has to be entered for the translation to work properly.

7.3.2.6. Secret

Access key secret that is retrieved from AWS Management Console page. This has to be entered for translation to work properly.

7.3.2.7. Region

AWS data center region to which the API requests will be sent. Selecting a location that is closer to your server’s location will reduce the time it takes to retrieve translations from the API.
