3.19. Testing site settings

After you configure the settings in Site Settings Page, it is recommended that you test the settings to make sure everything is OK prior to activating automatic crawling. To test the settings, do the following:

  1. Go to Tester Page
  2. Select the site whose settings you want to test in Site setting
  3. For Test Type setting, select Category Page if you want to test the category settings. If you want to test the settings configured for post pages, select Post Page.
  4. Enter the URL of the category or the post into Test URL setting. If you selected Category Page as test type, you can also select one of the category URLs defined in Category URLs setting from the select input of Test URL setting.
  5. Click button
  6. The results will be shown shortly.

After these steps are done, check the test results and make sure everything is as you expect. If not, you can go to Site Settings Page, change your settings, and perform the test again until you are satisfied with the results.
